Happier(?) New Year

Looking back on 2019, I--

No. I'm not going to look back at my 2019. I had a terrible year. At best, I hope I've learned some valuable life lessons I can carry into the future. (Otherwise? Gas can. Big pile. Lit match.)

If I haven't been very communicative over the past few months, that's my way of dealing with stress: I tend to withdraw to keep my emotional balance, because I'm afraid I'd fly apart. I don't know if that's healthy. Maybe if I reached out more, I'd have a safety valve for all that steam.

Maybe 2020 will be better. I hope that all the nagging legal and financial problems nipping at me right now will be resolved. I plan on travelling with my son a lot next year--trips through the Cub Scouts, and maybe a vacation to Cooperstown when baseball starts up again.

I should watch much less TV and enjoy the fresh air more--but I know I probably won't. (My next post will probably be my picks for best TV of 2019.)

Shadowkat. Glad to hear your dad is doing better. I have to make time for our movie nights. I feel bad that we missed Parasite....
