Our Plague Years (update)
Mar. 20th, 2020 12:03 pmThank you to everyone who sent good wishes after my last post. Hope and good wishes back to everyone on my list.
It's still "wait and see" for my family.
NY Governor Cuomo just announced that all non-essential businesses must keep all of their employees home. Banking has been deemed essential, so I have to go in if called. At 3:00, I'm going to the Borough Park branch (currently closed) to process the ATM; tomorrow, I'm going to take customers at the Kings Highway branch.
So, less than a week after I thought I was unemployed, I'm one of the few people in the city going to work. (This is not necessarily a good thing.)
How's everybody else doing?

Text me if you need to talk or anything.
As for me, nothing dire. I'm working remotely which is its own hellish experience.
We got the essential letter today - where you offer the letter and ID, if you are essential. (I'm not - thankfully. Although did worry about my internet getting compromised today along with tv due to a toilet flooding above me - because the idiots tried to flush the wrong things down it.)
I have chest congestion due to allergies, which has been around since this summer. But it makes me anxious. As does other things. But you read my blog - you already know all this. ;-)
Thanks for keeping us updated.
